Wildfit Burger

Many people can’t imagine a burger without a bun, but to be honest, long before the Wildfit program, I only ate burgers in quality restaurants, and even there I only ate the filling and left the bun on the plate.

So when I decided to make a homemade burger during the spring season, I replaced the bun with portobello mushrooms. My family really enjoyed the burger and I believe you will enjoy it too!

INGREDIENTS:

  • organic ground meat
  • portobello mushrooms
  • avocado
  • lettuce
  • cherry tomatos (optional)
  • mustard (!sugar-free: read the ingredient labels carefully)
  • bacon
  • other vegetables to taste, e.g. various sprouts

Drizzle the portobello mushrooms with a little olive oil, sprinkle with a little salt and bake in the oven at aprox. 180° C until soft, about 20 minutes. (TIP: you can prepare them in advance, even a day in advance, so you don’t have to wait.)

Season the minced meat to your taste and shape it into a burger. Then fry the meat to the desired doneness in a pan with a little oil.

While the meat is cooking, prepare all the other ingredients and layer them on one of the portobello mushrooms. Then add the meat and cover with another portobello mushroom.

I admit that I can’t eat this burger with my hands, it’s so much filled with goodies that I prefer to use cutlery. I think you’ll need it too.

Let me know in the comments what ingredients did you put into your burger and how it turned out.

Bon appetite!

Take care and eat consciously.

With love
